Our Vision

"We seek to build a loving and worshiping community that transforms our city and the world through Christ’s love, message, and good deeds."
Building Community:
Although community might be an overused word today, we really do like being together. Following Jesus, learning to do life His way, and serving others is done best when done together with others. In our increasingly busy lives it is hard to form deep and lasting relationships even though we all long for them. At VVC we gather weekly in small groups called Life Groups to build relationships, to worship, to play, to study, and to pray for one another.
Expecting His Presence:
We are a worshipping community. Worship is our highest priority. We long to experience more of God. We give time in most all of our gatherings to express to God our gratitude for all he has done and to show our love to him through music and song. Expressions of worship range from exuberant praise to heartfelt intimacy… even silent awe. The Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is worthy of all our worship. But worship is more than song; it is a life lived in awareness of His presence and a desire to offer to Him excellence in all we do. When we draw near to God he promises to draw near to us. When He does we experience His love and He reveals himself to us.
God's Kingdom:
God’s love expressed perfectly through the life, message, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most powerful force on earth. That love has transformed and healed our broken lives. In response we seek to live our lives, individually and as a church community, not for our own sakes but for the sake of others. Jesus’ message about the Kingdom of God has been revealed to us in the Bible. It is a path we travel together to align ourselves with God’s intentions for our lives.
Serving Others:
As our lives are being transformed by Jesus’ love and message we in turn reach out to others in our neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces with a message of hope, sincere kindness, as well as practical help. We serve our greater community, through our non-profit One Life, by giving out emergency food boxes to hundreds of families in need monthly, by providing nutrition/cooking classes and gardening classes, as well as the ordinary everyday attempts we make to bring life and hope into the lives of those around us.

We at Vancouver Vineyard Church are passionate about this vision. It is who we are, and also who we are becoming.
