Hudson’s Bay Outreach
At Vancouver Vineyard, we have a special place in our hearts for Hudson's Bay High School. Located just across the street from our church, Bay has been an important part of our community for over a decade. Over the years, we've had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with students, teachers, and staff, developing a close partnership that continues to grow.
Our heart is simple: to love and serve the students and families of Hudson's Bay. We want to be a consistent, welcoming presence in their lives, creating spaces where students feel known, valued, and supported. Through weekly programs, shared meals, and practical support for families, we're committed to being good neighbors and investing in the well-being of our local school community.
Game Club
Every Tuesday | 3:10–5:00 PM | The Portal
Game Club is a welcoming place for Bay students to hang out, make friends, and have fun after school. Each week, we open up The Portal for an afternoon of board games, card games, snacks, and good conversation. Our hope is to create a space where students can have fun, build friendships, and feel welcomed and valued.
Snack Shack
Second Tuesday of Every Month | Hudson's Bay High School
Once a month, our church community comes together to pack around 200 bags of snacks and food to hand out to students at Hudson's Bay. It's a simple, practical way to support students, meet a tangible need, and remind them that their community cares about them.
Bay Dinner
Last Thursday of Every Month | The Portal
There's something special about sharing a meal together! Once a month, we prepare and serve a free, home-cooked dinner for Bay students at The Portal. More than just providing a meal, Bay Dinner is an opportunity to build relationships, share stories, and create a welcoming space where students can enjoy good food and meaningful community.
Holiday Giving Drives
For many families, extended school breaks can bring additional challenges, especially when students no longer have access to meals provided at school. During Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other extended breaks, we partner with Hudson's Bay staff to identify families who could use extra support. Through donations of food, groceries, and gift cards, our church comes alongside these families to help make sure they have what they need while school is out.
Our hope is to offer practical care that helps ease the burden on families and reminds them that they are not alone.
Get Involved
We believe that loving our neighbors is something we get to do together, and there are lots of ways to be part of what God is doing at Hudson's Bay!
There are lots of ways to serve, from playing games and building relationships with students to preparing meals, packing snacks, shopping for supplies, and providing groceries for families during school breaks.
You don't need any special skills or experience, just a willingness to show up, build relationships, and care for the students and families in our community.
